Suzy has been working with Civic Digits to develop and produce iterations of The Big Data Show since 2014.
Conceived after a chance meeting between award-winning playwright and theatre director Clare Duffy, and renowned technology journalist Rupert Goodwins, The Big Data Show is a call to action for greater understanding and safety in our cyber world, for present and future generations. It is a Civic Digits Production.
The Big Data Show takes the form of 2-hour interactive theatre show designed to educate young people across the UK in cyber vulnerability. It addresses growing threats to young people’s wellbeing as they navigate this digital world.
The Big Data Show will take pre- and post-performance workshops to schools before they attend the performance. Each school will receive a teachers’ pack of cross curricular activities that run in tandem with the curriculum for excellence. Over the next 12 months it is planned that the project will reach around 15,000 young people.
COVID-19 UPDATE:
In August 2020, in light of the restrictions brought about by the pandemic, the team quickly adapted and reshaped The Big Data Show to a purely online form which offers an inspiring mix of digital magic, educational tricks and eye-opening truths about living in the digital age.
