Suzy Glass is a strategic designer, facilitator and consultant. She moves ideas around between people, with a focus on transition and emerging futures.
Suzy is interested in finding ways to build collective knowledge and intelligence. She designs and implements learning and engagement processes that support us to think beyond our individual boundaries. Her work helps people to frame and broach complex problems that contribute to shifting paradigms.
Suzy is co-CEO at BRAE and a founding director of Iris + Birch. She sits on the board of Civic Digits. She lives in rural Scotland with her husband, two small children and a Labrador.
Recent work includes: facilitating a community of practice focussed on decarbonising financial investment into the built environment for the Laudes Foundation; facilitating a community of practice of owners and occupiers as part of C Change (ULI Europe’s decarbonisation programme); working with P4NE to deliver a field-building intervention to support the emergence of alternative economic models.
Suzy spent the first few years of her professional life within the cultural sector. She moved between funding, sector development work, and producing complex interdisciplinary projects. She worked with and for a number of artists and organisations including Arts Council England, Creative Scotland, the BBC, Edinburgh Futures Institute and Edinburgh Art Festival.
She continues to maintain her connections with the cultural sector: she firmly believes that artistic imagination and creativity play a vital role in helping us to transition to a future in which we can all thrive.
